Congrats to Nasty Canasta, who this afternoon won the "Hottest Freshman" Award in the 2005 Golden Pasties Awards of the 3rd Annual New York Burlesque Festival.

In the words of the always insightful S. Melone, who has known Miss Canasta since she first captured my heart more than 10 years ago; "Of course... She's been the hottest freshman for as long as we've known her."

Others burlesque luminaries taking home Golden Pasties included Scarlet Sinclair (co-winner of the "Hottest Freshman" honor), Scotty The Blue Bunny, Jo Boobs, The World Famous *BOB*, The Pontani Sisters, and Tigger.

All who voted at my command; well done. Since Nasty won only one of the two awards for which she was nominated, I will resume stripping a soon as I can get my scanner to scan.

Meh.

Nasty Canasta has been nominated for both the "Best Pasties" honor AND the "Hottest Freshman" honor in the Golden Pasties Awards from the New York Burlesque Festival. She deserves BOTH; VOTE FOR HER, I COMMAND YOU.

If Nasty wins both honors, the comic strip shall begin again! And run for at least a month! This I promise! You!
